Today as I picked out a skirt for Alyse to wear (mainly because it is over 70 degrees outside and this will probably be the last time she can wear it). I was brought to tears of joy, why you may ask? We are so blessed to have her as part of our family. Never in a million years would I have known that a little girl would bring us such joy. The Lord knew what he was doing bringing her to us. I know I prayed many times for a little boy and the Lord soften my heart to a girl and now I am so thankful for his sovereignty. Even though pink still isn't my favorite color it now warms my heart to have it around our house! God is soooo good!!

p.s. the big girl picture in the middle is her "I am so beautiful pose" (instead of so big).

That's funny...I really felt the same way when I was pregnant with Kenzie. (We decided not to find out if it was a boy or girl.) I've always wanted a boy because I'm just used to being around boys. =)

But, like you, I am so overwhelmed at how much I love my little girl and all the girly-ness that comes with her every day! God is so good indeed! =)

you think it warms your heart--just think what it does to ours!!! and what those big hazel eyes do to my tear ducts...oh she better not know how much she has us wrapped around her lil fingers, eh? (Man--she gets cuter by the minute, I swear).
He knew EXACTLY what he was doing for EVERYONE on that fateful day in May...what a God he is!!!
